About the event

Pilates is a low-impact whole-body exercise method offering a mind-body-connection and designed to establish good posture and healthy movement patterns. Regular Pilates practice strengthens the body, improves mobility and flexibility, can help to manage pain, prevent injury and reduce stress.

Over eight sessions, you will be introduced to the Foundations and Principles of the Pilates method, and you will apply these in your own body. You will learn about good posture and alignment of your bones, about Pilates Breathing and how correct breathing helps to recruit core muscles and stabilise the spine. You will work on building core strength and improve joint mobility. During the course you will have access to videos relating to the course program allowing you to practice at home in between sessions and speed up your progress. On completion, you will begin having greater awareness of your posture and movement patterns and start feeling the changes…
